Really I think Tobias Menzies should win some awards for his acting in this, he's done an excellent job. I'm just uncurling from the fetal position! Two of my favorite bits were when they were just about to hang Jamie and BlackJack rode in, the look on Jamie's face when you see him tempted to just jump off and avoid the confrontation to come; and then at the end, just before Claire is taken from Jamie, when he's holding her while he's doing the 'test of his sincerity'.... aghh. That just killed me.

I was speaking with my mom about Outlander and it sounds like she's bailing from the show due to the torture scenes being too graphic for her. :(

I was on the edge of my seat during that entire scene. This actor plays the villain so well.

Well dang. I'm sure the finale will be difficult to watch as well, but from what I've heard should contain one of the best scenes of the whole season so far as well. Maybe she'll pick back up next season when things simmer down.

If he doesn't at least get one or two awards for his acting it'll be positively criminal. And both Sam Heughan and Catriona Balfe have done some great work as well. Sam does a lot with just his expression, and small tics to reveal great emotion.

I hope so too. I told her season 2 should be better in this regard, based off what I remembered from the books.
