I have about a bazillion apples on my little tree in the backyard, so I decided to make applesauce in my slow cooker after spending way too much time Pinteresting.   lol  After a few minor injuries (since I really can't be trusted with any sort of sharp object unfortunately), I had a small batch going.  Oh my gosh!  I've made 3 small batches, trying out different additions to see what I like.  Lordy my house has smelled good this weekend!  I think my favorite batch had cinnamon, clove, brown sugar, powdered vanilla, and a small swirl of maple syrup in it, as my apples are quite on the tart side. 

I totally need to get myself one of those corer peeler slicer thingys.

Mmmmm.
